New Toyota Forklifts For The Paper Industry 11/01/2007

Although it already owns 17% and 24.5% of the market share for 5 pneumatic and class 4 cushion tyres forklifts Toyota are determined to keep their record sale up as their Industrial Manufacturing department continues to develop more products and expand their ideas. It has predicted that future sales will be over 190,000 units for the future.

Toyota has recently launched a new addition to its large-capacity forklift trucks. These new large scale forklifts have been designed to move metal fabrication, construction appliances, pulp and paper.

Health and safety are the main priorities to Toyota and with the 7 series-line this is no exception. The new technology system; System of Active Stability (SAS) has been designed into the series. Through the use of this new device the movements and controls of the forklift truck are monitored, therefore preventing the forklift truck from tipping over. The Active Control Rear Stabilizer and the Active Mast Function Controller are included features in this system. These features reduce the chance of longitudinal tip-over and the chances of lateral tipping over. In the long run this prevents injuries and damage to the products if the forklifts gave been tilted too far and the load falls from them.
The SAS technology on the new series of the forklift trucks allows workers to work more and efficiently and quickly and therefore increasing the levels of productivity.

The new 7 – Series cushion tire paper roll handler forklift has been introduced by the partnership between Toyota Industrial Equipment and Cascade Corp. These forklifts have been designed to prevent problems for the workers who are in the paper industry and to make working quicker and more efficient. Problems that are hoping to be prevented are those such as overheating, incorrect roll clamp operation, low fuel economy and roll clamp structural damage.

Toyota and Cascade have put together a design of the combination of valve and hosing to ensure the roll clamp attachment receives the pressure and hydraulic flows. These are very specific pressure and need to be received correctly in order for correct and efficient operation. This will prevent breakdowns due to overheating and therefore increase productivity.

Toyota is currently undergoing expansion to its current facilities. This will enhance the manufacturing of the company and hopefully enable more designs of forklift trucks that are vital to different industries to be constructed in the future.
